There have been doctors in the Jung family for four generations and it has been almost five decades since Dr Gabriele Jung and Dr Dieter Jung set up their own practice in Heidelberg’s Old Town. While Dr Gabriele Jung has now retired, Dr Dieter Jung continues to work in the practice.
Team
All processes at the Dres. Jung group practice are supported by a highly motivated, international team, some of whom have been with the practice for decades. If necessary, the entire team supports patients during their visit to the practice in several languages.

2024

Now it’s time for a digital relaunch: the new practice website will go online in November. You can still find the old homepage here.
2018
In the meantime, we have settled in perfectly at the new address and Dr. Christoph Jung has taken over the management of his parents’ practice. The circle closes when his wife Dr. Verena Jung joins the team of the group practice.
2016
“The last one closes the door!” After around 37 happy years at Landfriedstrasse 14, a change of scenery is now imminent: the entire practice moves to its new premises at Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage 23a. The year 2016 not only marks a new beginning in terms of space, but also brings personnel changes to the practice of Dr. Jung. After several years in his adopted home of Hamburg, Dr. Christoph Jung returns to Heidelberg and joins his parents’ joint practice.
1999
The summer vacation is over and autumn is just around the corner. Just in time for the annual start of the flu season, Dr. Dieter Jung unplugs the practice telephone and connects his loudly buzzing 56-kilobit modem. For the first time, he sends out a practice newsletter entitled “Flu vaccination?”. The spontaneous idea from the early days of the internet develops into a classic newsletter over the next two and a half decades.
1979
After several months of planning, Dr. Jung’s practice at Landfriedstrasse 14 in 6900 Heidelberg opened its doors for the first time on Tuesday, January 2, 1979. Dr. Gabriele and Dr. Dieter Jung welcomed and treated their first patients in the new premises in the old town. This address will be the home of the practice for the next 37 years.

FAQ: Frequently asked questions
We are three specialists with a general medical practice for all statutory and private patients and currently two junior doctors in training to become specialists in general medicine. As we are an academic teaching practice at the University of Heidelberg and are authorized to provide further training in general medicine, we train the next generation of doctors.
We make house calls in the core area around our practice, i.e. in the districts of Altstadt, Neuenheim, Bergheim and Weststadt!

Our practice is located at Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage 23a in Heidelberg’s Old Town. We recommend that drivers park their car in parking garage 10. You can also reach us by bus lines 31, 32 and 33 (bus stop Friedrich-Ebert-Platz)
